Nurturing your spirit
DLSHSI ensures that the members of its internal community are animated to pursue its vision and mission anchored on its values of Spirit of Faith, Zeal for Service, Communion in Mission and Reverence for Life. Thus, there is the De La Salle Animo Center which serves as the venue for the pursuit of animated opportunities for the members of the DLSHSI community for their growth and development in all aspects of life – spiritual, social, civic, cultural, musical, and sports. In the midst of the campus, surrounded by the lush vegetation of the campus’ mini forest, one will find the soul of life in the Institute, the 500-capacity Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary Chapel. Here, students commune with God, friends, mentors, and other members of the community through a daily celebration of the Eucharist, individual prayers, and “kapihan” moments which also oftentimes turn into informal group study sessions cum fellowship.
In recent years, God has blessed DLSHSI with a number of aspirants to the De La Salle Brothers’ vocation, majority of whom have become postulants. In 2012, two of its graduates, Br. Joseph Daluz, a nurse and Br. Dan Sanding, a physical therapist, have professed their first vows as members of the De La Salle Brothers.
