VCA holds WEE Talk themed Tea and Substance

Dr. Juanito O. Cabanias, Vice Chancellor for Academics, met the different Administrators, CM Department Chairs, Program Directors, Undergraduate Chairs, Asst. Chair and Coordinators, Academic Support Personnel, Non-Teaching Staff, and Institutional Student Council on October 2017 for a WEE Talk themed “Tea and Substance.”

The 234 attendees shared a light moment with Dr. Cabanias over a cup of tea and exchanged thoughts about “emptying one’s cup.” The Vice Chancellor also took the opportunity to check how were things going within departments. Hereunder were the schedules of the WEE Talk:

The Institutional Learning Outcome: Lasallians Nurturers of Life has been released to guide the members of the Academics Division in the holistic formation of health sciences professionals who value the Lasallian Healing Ministry the most – distinctly DLSHSI.

Specifically, it underscores the following aspects:

  1. Nurturers of Spirit
  2. Nurturers of Potentials
  3. Nurturers of Potentials
  4. Nurturers of Health
  5. Nurturers of Discoveries
  6. Nurturers of Communities
  7. Nurturers of Environment

This shall be included in the curricula across colleges of DLSHSI.


BSRT students champions in RT Henyo

Vincent Erico P. Umbrero, Arianne Jamee C. Cardano, and Diana Jean F. Caimol from the College of Medical Radiation Technology, won as Champions in RT Henyo held on November 5, 2017 at Crown Legacy Hotel, Baguio City during the Radiologic Technology National Convention 2017. There were 15 schools that competed.

Hats off to the student champions, the dean, faculty coaches, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel of the College.


DLSHSI HeALS and ISC host the 6th Philippine Scholars’ Summit

The 6th Philippine Scholars’ Summit with the theme “Sulong: Strengthening the Bond, Daring to Go Beyond” was held on November 9-12, 2017 at DLSHSI. It was hosted by HeALS and the Institutional Student Council under the leadership of Mr. Darwin Japheth L. Eusebio, President.

A total of 73 delegates from 21 colleges and universities participated in the Summit which highlighted seminars, workshops, team building activities, games, mass, and socials.


CM Department of Psychiatry holds Mental Health Forum

A Mental Health Forum with the theme “Suicide and Self-Cutting Behavior” was held on October 30, 2017, 8:00am-12:00pm at DLS Animo Center. It was attended by a total of 290 participants:

The Forum was organized by CM Department of Psychiatry.


Dr. Conrado P. Crisostomo wins the Medical Director post

Dr. Conrado P. Crisostomo serves as the new Medical Director of De La Salle University Medical Center effective October 23, 2017.

Dr. Crisostomo finished his BS Zoology at the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1978 and his Doctor of Medicine at the University of the Philippines Manila in 1982. He later took his Master in Health Services Administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business in 2004.

He served as Training Officer for 2 terms and as Chair for 1 term of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has 12 years of experience in administrative work and another 12 years of related work experience.

He has held top positions in hospitals, societies, councils, and committees. He has undergone various training both local and international and has also authored scientific papers. He is the recipient of Outstanding Imuseno Award in 2008 and Outstanding Clinical Clerk in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1982.
