Gospel: Luke 11, 15-26
When Jesus had driven out a demon, some of the crowd said: “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven. But he knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” When an unclean spirit goes out of someone, it roams through arid regions searching for rest but, finding none, it says, ‘I shall return to my home from which I came.’ But upon returning, it finds it swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits more wicked than itself who move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that person is worse than the first.”

Reflection
“He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.” We always remember Jesus in times of despair. Asking him things that our hearts want. Yet when we’re given and we’re being happy in our lives, we tend to forget thanking him. We’re sinners, thick faced ignorant individuals yet thee he is, willing to open his arms into us if we ask for forgiveness. Jesus never leaves despite everything.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to search for God’s will in order to carry out his saving plan.” We must not forget who our creator is. He is always there for us; waiting for us. We must turn ourselves into him for in him only we can find peace in our hearts and minds. As we learn to follow Jesus, not only will we be open to him, but we will also be open to goodness. Goodness that has the eye for those people who are suffering and has the heart to help them. This life is not only about our individual selves. It’s about the other people surrounding us waiting for our help just like how Jesus waits for us to come back to him.

Prayer
Lord God, we have troubles and fears. We have doubts and downfalls. Cast them away Lord God. Help us engage ourselves in you and be a good follower. I know we don’t deserve your love and forgiveness because we’re nothing. We’re just no one. Yet, your love for us makes us special. Help us in our journey oh Lord and guide us always. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. St. John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

Lasallian Prayer for Peace
We pray to you, O Lord,
God of life and God of those who hope!
Listen to our prayer for the whole world:
For peace among all peoples,
For prosperity in all lands.
We pray to you that evil may be overcome
And that all wars may end.
We pray to You especially for the members
Of our Lasallian Family,
Who suffer from war, injustice and intolerance,
And for children and young people who are poor ad neglected.
We pray too, God, for peace in our lives;
In our towns, in our schools,
In our families and in our own hearts.
We pray for a peace that the world cannot give us.
We pray for a peace that will make us whole
And transform us into ambassadors of justice for Your sake.
Lord, give us Your peace! Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de la Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
