Luke 14, 15-19, 23-24

Date posted: November 5, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 14, 15-19, 23-24
One of those at table with Jesus said to him, “Blessed is the one who will dine in the kingdom of God.” He replied to him, “A man gave a great dinner to which he invited many. When the time for the dinner came, he dispatched his servant to say to those invited, Come, everything is now ready. But one by one, they all began to excuse themselves. The master then ordered the servant, Go out to the highways and hedge rows and make people come in that my home may be filled. For, I tell you, none of those men who were invited will taste my dinner.

Reflection
God invites us in His banquet every day. He is open 24/7 just for us and even asks few moments with us. Jesus presents himself through the Holy Eucharist so He can share His love to us just like the master in our Gospel who invited his guests. Sometimes we failed to accept this invitation because we are preoccupied by our personal needs. How do we spend time with Jesus?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the Lasallian Guiding Principles, “…the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to search for God’s will in order to carry out His saving plan.” We need to express our faith to people we encounter every day. Lasallian communities are inclusive. We welcome everyone because God’s will is to save everyone.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
the intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
