Luke 15:4-7

Date posted: November 7, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 15:4-7
‘Which one of you with a hundred sheep, if he lost one, would fail to leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the missing one till he found it? And when he found it, would he not joyfully take it on his shoulders and then, when he got home, call together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, I have found my sheep that was lost’ In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner repenting than over ninety-nine upright people who have no need of repentance.

Reflection
The gospel wants us to remember that no matter how lost we are or how far we strayed from our path, Jesus will never stop looking for us and bring us back to the Father. We always have a place back in heaven. When was the last time I have extended myself to those people who need my help?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, “…the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to search for God’s will in order to carry out His saving plan.” God’s plan is to save everyone. So, Lasallians are called to serve the lost, the least, and the last. It tells us that all of us is worth saving and important to God. St. John Baptiste de La Salle never gave up in educating the poor children and training the teachers.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
