Luke 21:1-4

Date posted: November 25, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 21:1-4
He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury; and he saw a poor widow put in two copper coins. And he said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them; for they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all the living that she had.”

Reflection
The gospel reminds us that every action must come from our heart and soul. An action without good intention and is merely external is hollow and its merit is paid on earth. The true value of our actions comes not with what the palm could measure but that of the heart. What is the best thing that I have done in the name of God?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the Lasallian Guiding Principles, “we must constantly desire to exhibit manners that are inspiring.” Nothing inspires more than a person who offer their activities for the glory of our Creator. It should always be the intention of every Lasallian, that we do things for the glory of God. As Lasallians, we are challenge to follow the footsteps of St. De La Salle to find special ways on how we can pour out our heart and soul while we are serving others.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.

Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
