Luke 21:20-28

Date posted: November 28, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 21:20-28
Jesus said to his disciples: “… There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand.”

Reflection
The Kingdom of God will come soon in our life. The beginning of the advent season announces that at the times of our fall, the Son of God will come to save and redeem us. Jesus is the fulfillment of God’s promise to His people and He is the only way that we can be saved. How do we prepare ourselves for Jesus this advent season?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, “the spirit of faith is a spirit that allows one to unite one’s actions to the ongoing saving action of God in the world.” We are encouraged to accept Jesus and allow Him be the center of our lives. As Lasallians, we are called to follow the paths of our founder wherein he allowed God to use him to transform the lives of the people. May we always see the face of God in every human person.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
