Luke 5:12-14

Date posted: January 10, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 5:12-14
It happened that there was a man full of leprosy in one of the towns where Jesus was; and when he saw Jesus, he fell
prostrate, pleaded with him, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.”
Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” And the leprosy left him immediately.
Then he ordered him not to tell anyone, but “Go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses
prescribed; that will be proof for them.”

Reflection
The love of Jesus is for all which means He does not choose whom He will love. The coming of Jesus proves the
unconditional love of God for us to attain salvation and reach the Kingdom of God. This divine love heals and makes
us whole. In what way have we experienced this healing love of God?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the communion in mission is a spirit that allows one to trust one another…” This reflects the idea
how we can appreciate our God-given gifts. It allows us to be thankful of what we have and enables us to honor the
gifts by using it to proclaim the Kingdom of God. As Lasallians, may we recognize the gifts of each one and encourage
to love all, not focusing on the differences, as we celebrate the success of everyone as one family.
