Mark 1:40-42

Date posted: January 16, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mark 1:40-42
A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus was
indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

Reflection
The gospel tells us that Jesus will make the excluded be part of something and that is what he did to the leper, he
cured his sickness so that man could not be excluded and express the love of God too him. Nothing is impossible if
we have strong faith. When was the last time we have been an instrument of healing to others?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the communion in mission is a spirit that allows one to trust one another…” This statement tells us that to gain someone’s trust is by being committed to your mission and to do it with all your heart. Only then he/she will see that you are worthy of the trust that s/he has given. As Lasallians, we are called to be committed to our mission in giving healing to each other’s life like what St. John Baptist De La Salle did to his brothers and children during their time.

Prayer for the Year of Ecumenism, Inter-Religious Dialogue and Indigenous Peoples
Almighty, Ever-living God, the most Merciful and Compassionate,
we thank You for Creation and the life You have given us.
Together, we people of diverse religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions

humbly pray that You give us the opportunity
to encounter each other through Dialogue,
to reach mutual respect and reciprocal acceptance of each other,
and to break down the walls of division that stand
at the center of most misunderstandings and conflicts.
Make us instruments of Your Light, Love and Peace.
Guide us to walk always in Your Path and be a
Show us the way to Harmony and Unity to reach the fullness of human fraternity.
Give us the wisdom to discern the Truth and to freely choose what is right and just
to make this world a better place to live in.
Together, we ask You for the wisdom and the courage to fulfil Your Will that all may be ONE.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
