Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Jesus went out along the sea. All the crowd came to him and he taught them. As he passed by, he saw Levi, son of Alphaeus, sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him.
The gospel was referring to the time when Jesus talked to Levi and ate with him along with other tax collectors. The act of dining with sinners was despised by the Pharisees who were self-righteous. Jesus never chosen what kind people to call or to love. We, as son/daughter of God, are called for a mission for we are capable of this kind of mission. When was the last time I respond to the call of Jesus in my life? How do I respond to that call?
Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the communion in mission is a spirit that allows one to trust one another…” We as principled Lasallians should learn to trust our fellow classmates, teachers, or workmates. We trust them that they will do their own part in the community which is to obey and glorify God. In fairness, we too should do our part in transforming the community into a better place. With the guidance from God and from others, we should the tasks given to us the best we could do.
