Mark 7:10-13

Date posted: February 11, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mark 7:10-13
And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God, in order to keep your tradition! For
Moses said, `Honor your father and your mother’ and, `He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him surely die’; but you say, `If a man tells his father or his mother, What you would have gained from me is Corban’ (that is, given to God) – then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother, thus making void the word of God through your tradition which you hand on. And many such things you do.’

Reflection
God’s law teaches us how to love God and neighbor in holiness and truth. Allow God’s Word to purify your thoughts,
intentions, and actions. We accept our imperfections as human being and acknowledge that we need God to complete us and guide us in our life. How do we purify ourselves?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…the communion in mission is a spirit that allows one to trust one another…” We have to trust each
other in order to achieve our goals. As members of the faithful, we have to remember that our mission on Earth is to
do good and spread the Word of God. We are united under this mission and we are called to serve as bearers of Christ on this Earth. As Lasallians, may we continue this mission and share this mission to everyone.

Prayer for the Year of Ecumenism, Inter-Religious Dialogue and Indigenous Peoples
Almighty, Ever-living God, the most Merciful and Compassionate,
we thank You for Creation and the life You have given us.
Together, we people of diverse religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions
who invoke You by different names,
humbly pray that You give us the opportunity
to encounter each other through Dialogue,
to reach mutual respect and reciprocal acceptance of each other,
and to break down the walls of division that stand
at the center of most misunderstandings and conflicts.
Make us instruments of Your Light, Love and Peace.
Guide us to walk always in Your Path and be a
source of hope to everyone so that we may discover Your Divine Presence in each other.
Show us the way to Harmony and Unity to reach the fullness of human fraternity.
Give us the wisdom to discern the Truth and to freely choose what is right and just
to make this world a better place to live in.
Together, we ask You for the wisdom and the courage to fulfil Your Will that all may be ONE.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
