Mark 7:24-26

Date posted: February 13, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mark 7:24-26
And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house and did not want
anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden. But immediately a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit
heard of him and came and fell down at his feet. Now the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she
begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter.

Reflection
The gospel showed us the importance of having a great faith in God. God cannot say “No” to his persistent children.
Having faith in God is all we need. No matter what problem we might be facing, we just only need to trust and ask for
God’s guidance and everything will follow according to His plan for the common good. When was the last time we
prayed hard and asked God’s guidance in our life? How was it?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Every individual needs to be constantly exposed to or immersed in the pressing social problems to
which we subsequently aim to contribute a resolution.” As Lasallians, we are challenged to work together to bring
humane world. Through our founder SJBDLS, we are able to do our mission which is to transform the lives of other
and nurture the lives especially the lost, the least, and the last.

Prayer for the Year of Ecumenism, Inter-Religious Dialogue and Indigenous Peoples
Almighty, Ever-living God, the most Merciful and Compassionate,
we thank You for Creation and the life You have given us.
Together, we people of diverse religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions
who invoke You by different names,
humbly pray that You give us the opportunity
to encounter each other through Dialogue,
to reach mutual respect and reciprocal acceptance of each other,
and to break down the walls of division that stand
at the center of most misunderstandings and conflicts.
Make us instruments of Your Light, Love and Peace.
Guide us to walk always in Your Path and be a
source of hope to everyone so that we may discover Your Divine Presence in each other.
Show us the way to Harmony and Unity to reach the fullness of human fraternity.
Give us the wisdom to discern the Truth and to freely choose what is right and just
to make this world a better place to live in.
Together, we ask You for the wisdom and the courage to fulfil Your Will that all may be ONE.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
