Mark 8:23-25

Date posted: February 19, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mark 8:23-25
And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his
hands upon him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?” And he looked up and said, “I see men; but they look like trees, walking.” Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and saw everything clearly.

Reflection
The gospel tells us to have an unfaltering faith towards our God. We should always believe that the gift of faith will
dispel the darkness of sin and will always protect us from the endeavors of life. Jesus Christ will identify our weakness, so that He could strengthen our faith. We just need to know that God will restore our sight in faith in order for us to see the truth in His Word. How do we see the goodness and love of God in our life?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Avenues and opportunities for self-propelled individual, collective and institutional life-affirming action to respond to varied social issues must be provided in every Lasallian institution.” Lasallian institutions is offering every individual an opportunity to learn life-affirming action to social issues. As Lasallians, we are formed to be emphatic and considerate to other’s situation. With this, we are expected to be the bearer of light and healing to all the people who are greatly in need.

Prayer for the Year of Ecumenism, Inter-Religious Dialogue and Indigenous Peoples
Almighty, Ever-living God, the most Merciful and Compassionate,
we thank You for Creation and the life You have given us.
Together, we people of diverse religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions
who invoke You by different names,
humbly pray that You give us the opportunity
to encounter each other through Dialogue,
to reach mutual respect and reciprocal acceptance of each other,
and to break down the walls of division that stand
at the center of most misunderstandings and conflicts.
Make us instruments of Your Light, Love and Peace.
Guide us to walk always in Your Path and be a
source of hope to everyone so that we may discover Your Divine Presence in each other.
Show us the way to Harmony and Unity to reach the fullness of human fraternity.
Give us the wisdom to discern the Truth and to freely choose what is right and just
to make this world a better place to live in.
Together, we ask You for the wisdom and the courage to fulfil Your Will that all may be ONE.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
