Mathew 18:12-14

Date posted: December 11, 2018

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Gospel: Mathew 18:12-14
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Reflection
In life there is always missing our life is not that perfect but always we are searching for what is missing, at the age of 19 I finally found what is missing in my life, and that’s God. It fulfills my soul when I finally found Him. He is my shepherd in my life and I am astray sheep that he found. A life of a sheep without his shepherd is nothing; the sheep is blind and has no directions without his shepherd. Just like how Jesus commands us to follow him because he is the key to the kingdom of Glory of God. There are people who are lost and who don’t recognize God, so the Gospel calls us to find God at the right time and place and to trust Him because He is the way, the truth and the life.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “…communion as a way of accomplishing mission suggests the solidarity and collaboration that come from sharing in one vision, one spirit and one mission.” God always guide and lead us in the right direction. A man losses direction and senses without God, God listens to our prayers in order to lead us back in the path that he designs it for us. God leads us to the right path and forgives all our sins. God is our good shepherd and we are the sheep that he leads and cares. With the conversion that happens to one’s life he/she is now ready to accomplish the God’s mission.

Prayer
God, may your love and your pursuit of me, motivate and compel me to pursue and love those who are lost or who have gone astray. Give me a heart of reconciliation and love, not judgment when pursuing and interacting with those who are walking away from you. Help me to never forget that I was once lost and wayward, yet you pursued and saved me. This we pray, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
