Matthew 9:29-31

Date posted: December 6, 2019

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 9:29-31
Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored. Jesus
warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” But they went out and spread the news about him all over
that region.

Reflection
Nothing is impossible with God. The gospel shows how powerful faith is. The blind was able to see because of his
deep faith and believed that he could be healed by someone claiming as the Son of God. In this Advent season, we
are encouraged to allow Jesus to touch us and heal our woundedness. May we accept Him completely in our life like
the blind man. How deep is my prayer life?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, “communion in mission as a way of relating to others suggests openness to all persons and the
desire to be brother or sister to all especially those in need.” St. La Salle helped the people who are suffering from
hunger and abuse during his time in France. He used his personal resources and responded to the needs of his people
in response to his call for mission. As Lasallians, we are called to use our learnings and talents to deepen our faith and
bring healing to the people we are serving in our life.

One Life Prayer
Holy Spirit
You love us and offer us the gift of association.
You call us to live with joy
You invite us to be people with a creative inner life
Lord, grant us your strength for a life full of meaning
Fill us with your grace so that we will live the values of the gospel.
Our inner life will grow
And that we will be credible witnesses
Together with the entire Lasallian Family
In the midst of our world.
We make this prayer through the intercession of Mary
Queen and Mother of the Christian Schools, and through
The intercession of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us.
St. John Baptist de La salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
