DLSHSI’s College of Medicine students Nigel Jeronimo C. Santos (Batch 2016), Jan David C. Monzon (Batch 2016), Joanna May S. Quilacio (Batch 2017), and Ryan Michael B. Villar (Batch 2017) placed 3rd in the 43rd Interscholastic Clinico-Pathological Conference Competition presented by the UP Medical Students’ Society held at Philippine General Hospital Science Hall on March 5, 2016. They were accompanied by their adviser, Dr. Kristine Latorre-Mendoza.

Rounding up to the top 3 were teams from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (2nd place) and the University of Perpetual Help College of Medicine (1st place). The finalists were given a case of an 11-year old boy who was brought to the ER due  to increasing lethargy. The final 3 were judged according to how they managed the medical condition of the subject patient.


The 43rd Interscholastic Clinico Pathologic Conference (ICPC), is an annual conference that gathers medical students from various schools in the country. This year, over a hundred of delegates from seven different medical institutions participated in the conference.
