The DLSUMC Department of Orthopedics deals with musculoskeletal conditions that require surgical intervention and aims to relieve pain, restore movement and the patient’s quality of life.
The department, which has the only accredited training program in Southern Luzon, is a recognized center for patient care, education and research. It sees hundreds of patients in its clinics and in the operating theaters.
The department’s 16 consultants, who have been well-trained locally, have received further subspecialty training abroad. At present, it has nine (9) residents under the residency training program governed by the Philippine Board of Orthopedics.
