On July 14-15, 2015, DLSUMC accomplished the fifth recertification audit held by the TUV Rheinland Philippines. The audit team headed by the Lead Auditor Mr. Ramoncito Puyat conducted the two-day audit to verify the compliance of the hospital to the ISO 9001:2008 requirements and to validate the effectiveness of the DLSUMC Quality Management System (QMS). Benefiting from QMS
QMS or ISO 9001 standards established a structure for how an organization manages its key processes. An ISO 9001 certified organization could reap the benefits such as increased customer satisfaction, improved productivity and efficiency, profits, global competitiveness and others.
DLSUMC makes its QMS gainful not just for the institution, but most of all, for the customers. Leadership, the Top Management’s drive to improve the services the hospital provides to its customers is the foundation of QMS. This year’s thrust embraced culture of compassion and service, expanded in-patient services, 21st century one-stop outpatient healthcare facility and innovative and exciting inpatient services. These thrusts are dealt with and translated to tactical and operational plans of the department which are implemented, monitored and evaluated. Managers in every department, unit and section continuously embrace the QMS as a way of running day-to-day operations and lead to process improvement and contribute to the success of QMS in collaboration with Total Quality Management Department (TQM). TQM ensures that all the requirements of ISO standard are being complied with the collaboration of all these sectors as a team enable improvement in QMS which directly help the hospital towards sustainable growth.
