Greening the generations was the order of the day when the generations of yesterday met with the future of the College of Medicine in a simultaneous celebration of two of the most-awaited events for the College: the Alumni Homecoming and the Medicine Week.
Themed, "Greenerations 2009", the event kicked-off with a Eucharistic Celebration held at the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary Chapel, followed by the annual DLSAA - College of Medicine Symposium, "Salo-Salo" for the students and faculty, and the Alumni-Students-Faculty Fellowship Night Dinner-Dance.
The Fellowship Night Dinner-Dance showcased the talents of DLSHSI with performances from the College of Medicine students such as, Just for Tonight (JFT) winners, Med Sounds, DLSMeds, Saringhimig, alumni and many others and gave the attendees an opportunity to reminisce the past in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie.
The ticketed Dinner-Dance was also used to raise funds which the alumni used as an opportunity to show their support for their Alma Mater. The proceeds of the event were slated for various noteworthy projects of the student organizations while a small percentage will go to the operational cost of the DLSAA-CM Chapter. But beyond the tickets, the Silver Jubilarians MedClass'84 pledged 1 Million Pesos for the One La Salle Scholarship Fund, while MedClass'83 donated Php 400,000 for the completion of the Institutional Library.
