De La Salle Health Sciences Institute’s Asian Medical Students Association (AMSA-DLSHSI) won the poster making contest of International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations on World No Tobacco Day, May 31. The winning poster disturbs viewers by emphasizing the hard facts and figures of the costs of tobacco smoking. It also calls on everyone to be responsible by stressing that we all breathe the same air, a reminder that the smoke emitted from cigarettes will negatively affect not only the smoker but everyone who comes in contact with it.

The poster was a fruit of the collaboration of medical students Gaudy Franz Collado, Joanna Quilacio, Caleb Rioflorido, Micheal Anthony Reginaldo, and Juan Paolo Austria. The Asian Medical Students Association – De La Salle Health Sciences Institute is a student organization based in the College of Medicine.
