DLSHSI started school year 2016-2017 with a bang with a general assembly that embodies the youthfulness and strong vibe of millennials. Themed “Animollenials: Unified Stand,” the assembly was held at De La Salle Animo Center on August 22, 2016 and called for unity among the communities from the different colleges and sectors at DLSHSI.

Joining the community for the first time this year are the 372 Senior High Students who will pioneer DLSHSI’s Special Health Sciences High School.

Dr. Charles Yu, vice chancellor for Lasallian Mission and Linkages encouraged the young to always remember the Lasallian values – spirit of faith, zeal for service, communion in mission, and reverence for life. He also shared his hope that at the end of their stay here at the institution, they are professionals who are God fearing, humanitarian, patriotic, kind, respectful, smart, well hearted, and a true Lasallian.

Institutional Student Council President, Darwin Eusebio of the College of Pharmacy also inspired the student body by declaring as the newschool year starts, a new chapter begins, the beginning of a new promise, full of opportunities and full of success. “We mark our legacy here at DLSHSI. We create our own future; we make our mark as the year goes by. Take that journey with us and take that stand with us,” he said.
