CP STUDENTS’ RESEARCH 1ST PLACE AT PNHRS

The team of student researchers from DLSMHSI’s College of Pharmacy bagged the 1st place in the Poster Exhibit Contest (Student Category) during the 12th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week held on August 6-9, 2018 at Camp John Hay Trade and Culture Center, Baguio City.

The DLSMHSI team was composed of Darwin Japeth Eusebio, John Paul Feranil, Zineka Ninlu Rodil, and Irish Vida who presented their study entitled “Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopic Determination of Spectral Markers in Commercial Products of Lagundi (Vitex negudo L.).” They were guided by their thesis adviser Sigfredo Mata, RPh. Eusebio presented the study on behalf of his thesis group mates during the competition.

This year’s PNHRS Week was themed “Research and Innovation of Equity in Health,” to highlight the current situation, challenges, and advancement related to improving health and equity through health research and innovation in local and regional communities. It was organized by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development in collaboration with the Cordillera Regional Health Regional Research Development Consortium.
