High school students Richard R. De Jesus, Rodel D. Satojeto, and Florrielle B. Sia of Cavite School of Life (CSOL) – Bacoor are this year’s champion team of the 6th DLSHSI-sponsored Cavite Search for Science Survivor Wizards held on December 11, 2013 at the De La Salle Animo Center.


The CSOL-Bacoor team bested 49 other teams from high schools all over Cavite who participated in the annual Science quiz bee. As champions, the team received a cash prize of P 12,000, a trophy, certificates and full scholarships for any undergraduate course at DLSHSI.


Imus Institute’s Patrick De La Cruz, Paul Christian Gloria and Aaron Medina first runners up and took home the P 8,000 cash prize, trophy, certificates and full scholarships. Completing the top three for this year are Child Development and Guidance Center’s Allen Marbert S. Lee, Peter Lenedel V. Monreal and Crisyl A. Ursabia, who also received a trophy, certificates, full scholarship, and a cash prize of P 6,000.


Aside from the top three teams, the members of the teams that made it to the top 10 also received medals, certificates, a book entitled “Spectrum” by Dr. Juanito Cabanias.


The other seven teams that composed the top 10 are Dansart Angels Academy, Tagaytay City Science National High School, The Sisters of Mary School- Boystown, Dasmariñas National High School-Main, Dasmariñas East National High School, Rosario Institute, and Maranatha Christian Academy.


The highest pointer in the qualifying round, Dansart Angels Academy’s Paola Danielle A. Funtila received a cash prize of P 3,000, a medal, and full scholarship at DLSHSI.
