On July 22, Br. William Mann FSC, D. Min, president of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, USA and the current president of the International Association of Lasallian Universities visited DLSHSI and toured the different facilities of the campus including De La Salle Animo Center, Dr. Romeo P. Ariniego MD Library, College of Medicine Building, the De La Salle University Medical Center, and De La Salle Angelo King Medical Research Center.

 

In his visit, the DLSHSI administrators, faculty, and students had a chance to interact with him and the Vice Chancellor for Academics discussed DLSHSI’s latest academic achievements such as our topnotchers in licensure examinations while the Vice Chancellor for Lasallian Mission and Linkages talked about the institution’s partnerships with different organization such as Quintiles, Gawad Kalinga and others.

 

The highlight of his visit was the signing on July 23 of a Memorandum of Understanding between DLSHSI and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, which aims to encourage an exchange of expertise, teaching-learning resources, and best practices. The MOU will involve an exchange of academic and administrative staff, faculty and students, and opportunities for research and program development.
