LFSA AND CMO AT 4TH CEAP NATIONAL CHRISTIAN FORMATION CONFERENCE

September 4, 2018 | 6:54 pm

What defines Catholic education? What is the role of Catholic education institutions in the formation of our society?

These questions were one of the focal themes of the sessions and meetings during the 4-day 4th Catholic Education Association of the Philippines (CEAP) National Christian Formation Conference (NCFC) held at University of Santo Tomas and Cuneta Astrodome on July 18-22, 2018. DLSHSI was represented by the administrators and staff of the Lasallian Formation and Social Action Office (LFSA) and the Campus Ministry Office (CMO).

LFSA Director, Dr. Lorenzo Alvin Capio shared that the conference aimed to remind all Catholic education institutions of their mission to “form the lives of the students in light of the Church’s teachings. It also presented the role of Catholic Education on the foundation of education in our country.”

The conference, themed “Moved with Compassion… Feed the Multitude,” featured talks on topics for various locales of the ministries like the parishes, schools, workplace and government, family, youth, digital and social media, catechesis, and church in mission.

This annual conference aims to lead participants through personal and pastoral conversion, challenge the participants to missionary discipleship and transformation, and take active steps in responding to the many challenges in the future.
