The Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics focuses on
Improving the quality, equity, and delivery of health care by
encouraging research that promotes rational and holistic clinical practice,
encouraging clinicians to incorporate evidence from valid research into clinical practice,
stimulating (motivating) medical students and trainees to do and read relevant research, and
advocating for the adoption of effective and efficient health care strategies and technologies into health policy.
The Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics is headed by Dr. Madeleine M. Sosa who is a Clinical Epidemiologist and Neurologist Pediatrician. It has, for its members, clinical epidemiologists, public health experts, biostatisticians who provide expert advices in the conduct of research activities. A research assistant provides technical support to the Center and its researchers.
