She worked as project lead for key library projects which became part of the core library services, including the Information Literacy Program for students and Research Productivity Series. She also partners with other librarians to perform research in collections, library spaces and information literacy.
Her experience in library operations, administration and innovative services enables her to take on the responsibility as the new Director for Romeo P. Ariniego, MD, AFSC Library.
Mr. Torres brings over 18 years of experience as librarian, administrator and researcher in corporate and academic settings. He joined DLSMHSI in 2004 and later became the Library Director in 2010. He was appointed to various chair and member posts in institutional committees, such as the Academic Service Faculty Manual Revision and Academic Publication Review Board. He is also active in research, having presented in local and international conferences and publishing in Scopus-indexed journals.
Mr. Torres’ academic background, administrative experience and work performance have prepared him to take a new role in a broader context where he would engage in planning, implementation and monitoring of the key projects of the Academics as the Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Academics.
