College of Medical Laboratory Science releases its new logoThe College of Medical Laboratory Science recently bared its new logo, represented by the following emblems:

  1. Circle – signifies continuous involvement in the practice as the College magnifies the profession being a tool in providing accurate and reliable laboratory examination results
  2. Star – represents the Lasallian guiding principles
  3. Microscope – represents the Science of the profession
  4. 2014 – the year when the program was first officially offered in DLSHSI
  5. Green color – represents the health service anchored by Lasallian core values:  Spirit of Faith, Zeal in Service, Communion in Mission, and Reverence for Life
Academics Division welcomes new faculty members for AY 2015-2016The Academics Division warmly welcomes 247 faculty members from College of Medicine, 63 from College of Humanities and Sciences, 39 from College of Medical Radiation Technology, 38 from College of Nursing, 78 from College of Rehabilitation Sciences, 5 from College of Medical Laboratory Science, and 6 from College of Pharmacy, bringing the total to 476 faculty members from 7 colleges and 19 Academic Support Personnel in AY 2015-2016.The faculty members bring with them solid years of experience in teaching and research as well robust industry expertise to complement the Institute’s existing pool of educators, working together to produce scholarly yet compassionate Lasallian health professionals.
CMLS Dean holds top posts in national professional organizations; DLSHSI graduates top the Nursing and Radiologic Technology licensure examsProf. Fedelyn P. Estrella, RMT, MPH, Dean of College of Medical Laboratory Science, was elected in two national professional organizations:

  • Board Member, Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) Cavite Chapter
  • Treasurer, Philippine Biosafety and Biosecurity Association (PhBBA)

On the other hand, Lasallian graduates performed well in the recent licensure examinations. DLSHSI ranked second among the top performing schools in the Nurse Licensure Examination 2015, posting a 98.70% passing rate. Two graduates from the College of Nursing placed 7th and 10th in the Nurse Licensure Examinations while three graduates from the College of Medical Radiation Technology landed in 3rd, 6th, and 10th place in the Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination 2015.
