Faculty of College of Medicine and College of Pharmacy are recognized for their research initiativesDr. Victor L. Mendoza, faculty of College of Medicine, is the recipient of CM Dean’s Award for Research/ Scholarly Publication for co-authoring two (2) journal articles published in Value in Health Regional Issues. The articles are available online at www.sciencedirect.com.Two (2) research papers have been accepted for oral presentation at the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy (AASP) Conference in Taipei, Taiwan on Oct 30- November 2, 2015. Dean Alicia P. Catabay shall present her paper entitled “Hypolipidemic effect of the lyophilized fruit pulp of Guyabano, Annona Muricata Linn. (Fam. Annonaceae) in Atherogenic Diet-induced Hyperlipidemia in Albino Rats” while Mr. Sigfredo B. Mata shall discuss his research entitled “Characterization and Quantitative Determination of Dopamine from the Peels of Philippine Varieties of Banana.” The research entitled “An exploratory Spectrometric Study on the Complexation of Aluminum with Indication Dyes” also by Mr. Sigfredo B. Mata was accepted for poster presentation. Dean Catabay and Mr. Mata are faculty of the College of Pharmacy.The Academics Division proudly supports and commends its members for living up to the Institute’s culture of research excellence.
DLSHSI tops the 2015 Licensure Examination for Physical TherapistsLasallian academic excellence shone once again in the recently held Licensure Examination for Physical Therapists in 2015. DLSHSI ranked 4th among the top performing schools. In addition, Ms. Renile Anne G. Tumamao, PTRP placed 5th in the said exam. She is a graduate of DLSHSI College of Rehabilitation Sciences.

Hats off to Ms. Tumamao, the new Lasallian physical therapists, and the College of Rehabilitation Sciences for a job well done.
