The College of Nursing is composed of 40 faculty members, 30 of which are full-time, 4 are on fixed term appointment and 6 are part-time. Out of these 40, 9 are doctorate degree holders and 31 are masters degree holders. The faculty members are well-trained in the Outcomes-Based Education having attended several seminars and workshops before the implementation of the new BSN curriculum under the CHED Memo 15 s. 2017. Trainings on simulation both in the Philippines and in other countries helped the College in putting up a simulation laboratory which is used in the teaching and learning experiences of the students before their actual clinical exposure. Three of the faculty members are national trainers for Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI) and two are national trainers of Community Organizing and Participatory Action Research (COPAR).
Faculty members were also trained in specialty hospitals like the Philippine Children’s Medical Center, National Center for Mental Health, Cavite Center for Mental Health, San Lazaro Hospital and Philippine Orthopedic Hospital. Aside from these, they were also given orientations and trainings in the different affiliating hospitals and health centers in Cavite before being allowed to supervise the students in the clinical area and the community. The faculty are also members of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) and other special groups which they are affiliated with such as Critical Care Nurses Association of the Philippines, Inc. (CCNAPI) Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines (ORNAP) and Maternal and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines (MCNAP).
