As a response to the changing national guidelines on community movement, the plan created is based on the premise that the Occupational Therapy Program is allowed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to operate with limited face-to-face classes/ clinical internships for AY 2021-2022. This is to ensure that all academic personnel, infrastructures, and students are prepared and well guided for the eventuality that the permission is granted.
However, this 1st semester of AY 2021-2022, only the Speech and Language Pathology and Physical Therapy programs were allowed to conduct limited face-to-face classes/internships, as of August 2021.
The OT Department is keeping up to date with the development of limited face-to-face guidelines as initiated by the OT professional organization and the OT Education Technical Committee of CHED. We will continue to update you on developments and as soon as the OT program is authorized for face-to-face classes/internships.
