New learning space in the campus unveiled

The newest learning space in the campus is now open.

The  Learning  Commons  aims  to  be  a flexible venue where space  and  technology come together to support independent and  collaborative  learning. The 99-seater space has 2 areas: the  main  learning  area  for  independent use but can also be arranged for group trainings and workshops and the Learning Cubes suitable  for  group  discussions   and  collaborations. It has  Wifi  access  and  power  outlets. Located  at  the Ground Floor  of  the  RPAMDAFSC  Library, it  is  open   Mondays  to Fridays, 7:00am-10:00pm  and  Saturdays, 8:00am-5:00pm. It extends its hours until 12:00mn during examination days.

Members  of  DLSMHSI attended  the opening of the Learning Commons  on  April 10, 2019, including  President/Chancellor Br. Gus Boquer, FSC Vice Chancellor for Academics Juanito O. Cabanias, Library Director Efren M. Torres, Jr., Administrators, Deans, Directors, Academic  Teaching  and  Service  Faculty, Non-Teaching Personnel, Institutional Student   Council, SHSSHS Student Council, and students.

Institutional  Chaplain  Rev. Fr. Joseph Aloysius M. Cosina led the blessing  of  the  Ground, Fifth, and  Sixth Floors earlier on the same  day. The  Fifth  Floor  houses  eight  (8) classrooms while  the  Sixth  Floor  is home to the Romeo P. Ariniego, MD, AFSC Gallery.
