John 10:11-15

Date Posted: May 4, 2020 | 1:00 am

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 10:11-15
Jesus said: "I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. A hired man, who
is not a shepherd and whose sheep are not his own, sees a wolf coming and leaves the sheep and runs
away, and the wolf catches and scatters them. This is because he works for pay and has no concern for
the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and
I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep.

Reflection
The gospel teaches us to be good like Jesus, the Good Shepherd. We must be willing to sacrifice our life
to protect our sheep. We must know our sheep and our sheep knows us just like Jesus and the Father.
God offers his unwavering love to us by sending Jesus to save us and to guide our path towards to His
Kingdom, but Jesus wants us to show the same unwavering love to God and to others. How do you follow
the example of the Good Shepherd?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, Zeal is… “a passionate commitment to realize God’s will…” Divine love is reason for this
Lasallian zeal. It defines someone who is in love. For someone who is really motivated by love, he/she will
do anything and will not think of oneself. May we learn from the example of the Good Shepherd. Let us go
beyond our small groups and we try to take care of the bigger flock.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
