John 13:19-20

Date posted: May 7, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 13:19-20
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who receives any one whom I send receives me; and he who receives me
receives him who sent me.”

Reflection
The gospel tells us that whatever we do to the least and most marginalized people we do it to Him. This
challenges us that we, as children of God, are responsible to each other and to do all our best to bring
goodness to everyone. Our reason for doing it is that we do it not for ourselves but for God who created us
and formed us in His own image and likeness. How do you deal with people who harmed you?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, Zeal is… “a passionate commitment to realize God’s will…” In relation to the gospel, we
are invited to commit ourselves in doing good. When we do it especially to the least ones, then, we are
actually doing those things to God. As Lasallians, we don’t just show acts of kindness to those people
whom we know would be able to return what we did but we do it more to those who belong to the
marginalized sector.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
