John 14,1-6

Date posted: May 12, 2022

May 13, 2022 (Friday)
Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 14,1-6
Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s
house, there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
Where (I) am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know
the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Reflection
The gospel talks about Jesus Himself, being the way, the truth, the life. Jesus constantly reminds us not to let our hearts be
troubled for the Father is in Him. He would always remind us to love one another because, through this, we are one with God.
We are asked to join Him in this eternal parade of love and acceptance. As this happens, freedom grows and we begin to find
Him everywhere. In what way do we see God as our way, our truth, and our life?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that “zeal… is a passionate commitment to realize God’s will which, in Lasallian terms, is the integral liberation and
salvation of all, especially the youth and the poor.” In relation to the gospel, St. La Salle served as God’s instrument to help
the people who are suffering due to poverty during his time. As Lasallians, we continue his mission to serve the people who are in need and neglected in society. Let us allow ourselves as heralds of the truth and life.

MISSION PRAYER 2021 Year of Missio Ad Gentes CBCP
God, our loving Father, You sent your Son into the world to proclaim the Good News of Salvation to all: to sinners, the poor,
oppressed, the sick, the abandoned and neglected. He gave His life on the Cross for us and rose again to new life to redeem
us and reconcile us with you. You sent Your Holy Spirit to the Apostles to continue the work of Your Son and to lead all to
salvation. We thank you, Father, for bringing us from darkness into light. Through Your loving plan, 500 years ago,
missionaries came to our land to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus, Your Son, to our ancestors that made us Your people and the
Church. The gift of faith has accompanied us through both darkness and lights, defeats and victories of our history as Your
people. Our faith has become for us true light that shines in the darkness. Renew in us the grace of your Spirit that impels us
to be witnesses of Jesus, Your Son, to a world broken by greed, violence, injustice, sickness and suffering. May our faith bring
us to unity as your children to care for and love one another. May the Holy Spirit empower us to be proclaimers of the Good
News to our brothers and sisters in Asia and to all nations. Give us the sincere desire to help others to come to faith in the
Lord Jesus to share in Your joy and life. May the Blessed Mother, the Star of Evangelization, accompany us and pray for us as
we live and share our faith with others. May our strong love and devotion to her as our Mahal na Ina form us to be true
disciples and witnesses of Jesus to all, always ready to be sent, and to be obedient to whatever Jesus asks of us. We ask this
through Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
