John 1:48-51

Date posted: September 29, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 1:48-51
“How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under
the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you
are the king of Israel.” Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You
will see greater things than that.” He then added, “Very truly I tell you, youwill see ‘heaven open, and
the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.”

Reflection
The gospel tells us that through faith, we will be able to witness the presence of God in our lives. As
Christians, we should become persons who see God in every situation and person who offer all that
we do for the greater glory of God. How do you nourish your faith?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, the “spirit of faith allows us to discover God in everything we see, feel, and
interact with.” As Lasallians, we are challenged to actively participate in promoting the quality of life
which must be rooted in faith. And let the Holy Spirit be our guide, so that our actions will always be
towards giving glory to God.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
