John 15:12-15

Date posted: May 15, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 15:12-15
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than
this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.”

Reflection
The gospel tells us about friendship, it is a mutual affection between people. We have to love one another
especially our neighbors. Just like in married life, it is wonderful to hear when they consider each other
their best friend. Trust is necessary. What is the greatest act of love that you can give for the sake of
your neighbor?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “In De La Salle’s thinking, faith and zeal are inseparable, two dimensions of one spirit.”
The expression of Faith through service of human needs is what we mean by Zeal for Service. As
Lasallians, we are invited to share the love of God to each other and treat them as part of our life. For in
the eyes of God we are all equal, let us give equal love and opportunities to all and not only to specific
people.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
