John 16:12-15

Date posted: May 20, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 16:12-15
“I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he
will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will
speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is
mine and declare it to you. All that the Father has is mine; therefore, I said that he will take what is mine
and declare it to you.”

Reflection
The gospel tells us that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. He knows the desires of our heart. In faith,
He is the way. He is showing us that by following him daily in faith, He will lead us to a meaningful life.
That is the wonderful promise of Jesus to us, so be still and hold on to our faith. In what way, do we
consider Jesus as us our way, truth, and life? Why?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “In De La Salle’s thinking, faith and zeal are inseparable, two dimensions of one spirit.”
As Lasallians, we believe in God and to believe means to commit and change our ways according to His
will. We may encounter several challenges and fall countless times but we must never let it win over our
faith.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
