John 20:1-2, 11-18

Date posted: July 22, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 20:1-2, 11-18
Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the
gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.” Jesus
said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher. Jesus said to
her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them,
‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went and announced
to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and then reported what he told her.

Reflection
The Gospel invites us to open our hearts and minds to see the salvation the Lord offers. Sometimes, we are
blind about what is right or wrong because of the things around us. Sometimes, we ask if God hears or sees
us. All we need to do is to open our hearts and believe to see the saving power of God. The Lord will never
leave us in the midst of the trials.
What does it mean to believe and trust in the Lord at all times?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Lasallian learners are unique and gifted individuals who strive to integrate Gospel
perspectives and values in the conduct of their daily lives.” As Lasallians, we are reminded to live what we
have learned from our experiences. Perform sworn duties to improve the health of the majority. And to give
light and hope to the weary by sharing the Good News of the Lord.
