John 20:29

Date posted: July 3, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 20:29
Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not
seen and have believed.”

Reflection
“Have you come to believe because you have seen me?” Today’s gospel narrates how Thomas doubted
Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Just like him, we often look for evidences before we believe. We
sometimes ask for signs before we believe in God. As Jesus said, “… blessed are those who have not seen
and have believed”, we are invited to trust God. God loves us so much that He will do everything for us. The cross is the symbol of God’s unconditional love for us. How can we trust God when the pain seems
pointless?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Lasallian learners are unique and gifted individuals who express concern and compassion for the plight of the vulnerable and marginalized sectors of society and respond to their needs.” As Lasallians, we are challenged to reflect beyond what our naked eyes can see, so that we will be able to realize the great plan of God for us. Sometimes, problems overwhelm us. WE have to tap Lasallians who are sensitive enough to extend their support to those who are lost and forgotten. Through those gifted Lasallians, God will save them.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
