John 3:16

Date posted: September 14, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might
not perish but might have eternal life.

Reflection
In the Gospel, Father God was able to give up His Son to show us how great is His love; that He will
choose to sacrifice rather than hinder us from experiencing peace and salvation. This is what the
feast of the triumph of the Cross is all about. Therefore, now that we are experiencing this Covid19
Pandemic, may we learn how to give and share our love to others especially to the least, the lost
and the last. How did you experience God’s love?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, the “spirit of faith allows one to search God’s will in order to carry out his saving
plan.” As Lasallians, we must believe and give ourselves whole-heartedly to God. By doing so,
we’re going to be guided by Him to become a better version of ourselves who knows how to love
and to serve.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
