Luke 10, 1-9

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 10, 1-9
The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to
visit. He said to them, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest. Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves. Carry no money bag, no sack, no sandals; and greet no one along the way. Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’ If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. Stay in the same house and eat and drink what is offered to you, for the laborer deserves his payment. Do not move about from one house to another. Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you, cure the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God is at hand for you.'”

Reflection
The Gospel tells us that the lamp to be placed on the lampstand is Jesus. He is the new revelation of God, replacing the
lampstands of traditional religion. The prophet is a lamp to the people. In our words and actions, the lamp of Jesus is still
alight. Do I allow the light of Christ shine out before others?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Every individual needs to be constantly exposed to or immersed in the pressing social problems to which we subsequently aim to contribute a resolution.” As Lasallians, we need to find out what kind of light we go through and how we contribute to the mission. Let us allow ourselves to be the light of God as faithful servants to the community.

Prayer
Synod on Synodality Prayer
We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, Make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and
what is right.
All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son,
forever and ever.
Amen.
