Luke 11,29-32

Date posted: March 1, 2023

March 1, 2023 (Wednesday)
Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 11,29-32
While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them, “This generation is evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation. At the judgment the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation and she will condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and there is something greater than Solomon here. At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because at the preaching of Jonah they repented, and there is something greater than Jonah here.”

Reflection:
The gospel tells us about the holy signs, undoubted faith, and forgiveness which in contrast to how frequently we ask God for proof. There were times when we even too arrogant to demand for proof of his existence, as well as his love for mankind. We must be reminded that each one of us must have faith in God, who is always and willing to say “yes” to his plans even in situations that we do not understand, and when we wonder about the things happening around us. We need to trust God and allow him to guide us along the way. How do I respond with the different circumstances in my life?

Lasallian Guiding Principle:
LGP states that, “As a member of a community, of the nation, and of the global village, Lasallian institutions must work in solidarity with people and institutions that share the conviction in denouncing and working towards the elimination of unjust practices…” As Lasallians, we are encouraged to trust God’s ways and plans in our lives without a doubt. It should be extended to all our actions, whatever services we give them. We must continue to share our talents with everyone for the common good of all.

Prayer:
Synod on Synodality Prayer

We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, Make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and what is right.
All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son, forever and ever. Amen.

St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.

St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
