Luke 2:49-52

Date posted: June 20, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 2:49-52
And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
But they did not understand what he said to them. He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was
obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart.

Reflection
Today’s gospel is about the Presentation and Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple. It is all about trust,
pain and grief of losing someone dear to us. If you ever felt and experienced that we are lost or left behind,
we must remember that God is always with us. Be confident that God will guide and protect us. Trust in the
Lord with all your heart and you will surpass them all. How do we respond and entrust our life to this call?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Actions must always be life-affirming.” Every Lasallian is called to affirm and protect all
forms of life. We believe that we are alive because of other living beings. Interdependence is real. There
are threats to life around us. So, we, Lasallians, are called, more than ever, to continue in nurturing and
defending life.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
