Luke 6:47-48

Date posted: September 12, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 6:47-48
As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you
what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation
on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well
built.

Reflection
The gospel tells us to take time to deepen our faith. God calls us to use His words to strengthen our
will in facing the different challenges in our lives especially, the threat of Covid19 Pandemic. With
this, we will be able to bring God’s salvation to all. How do you put God’s word into practice?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, the spirit of faith allows one to discover God’s active presence in His Word, in
men and women, in the poor, in nature, in history, and in ourselves. As Lasallians, we are challenged
to reflect on how God works in our lives and be able to realize how blessed we are to have a God
who loves us unconditionally. Let us be agents of God’s abiding love and presence to all especially
to the lost, the last and the least.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
