Luke 7: 47-50

Date posted: September 17, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Luke 7: 47-50
So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; hence, she has shown great love. But the one to
whom little is forgiven, loves little. He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” The others at table said
to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?” But he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved
you; go in peace.”

Reflection
The gospel for today teaches us to look at someone in a particular way just like what Jesus did to
us. Despite of the sins we’ve done, He never hesitate to forgive and to let us feel His love. Now, it
is our turn to share this blessing to others; let them also feel God’s love and forgiveness through us.
Is there an instance in your life that you felt God’s forgiveness? How did you feel afterwards?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
As stated in the LGP, the spirit of faith allows one to discover God’s active presence in his Word, in
men and women, in the poor, in nature, in history, and in ourselves. Therefore, the challenge for us
Lasallians is to contemplate on the things we’ve done and try to figure out how God works and
blessed our lives.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
