Mark 6:53-56

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Mark 6:53-56
When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored the boat. When they got out of the
boat, people at once recognized him, and rushed about that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to
wherever they heard he was. And wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the
marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak, and all who touched it were
healed.
Reflection
The gospel depicts a deep relationship between Jesus and the people of Gennesaret through their faith. Their faith
has saved them from their sickness, as the cloak’s edge symbolizes Jesus’ unending grace. The people of
Gennesaret should become a model for us to present our lives before Jesus and trust in Him that He will do well for
us. How do we spread and share the good news of God with everyone?
Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states, “As a member of a community, of the nation, and of the global village, Lasallian institutions must work in solidarity with peoples and institutions that share the conviction in denouncing and working towards the elimination of unjust practices…”
As Lasallians, we are encouraged to trust God’s ways and plans in our life without a doubt. It should be extended to all our
actions, whatever services we give them. As Lasallians, we must continue to share our talents with everyone for the common good of all.
Prayer
Synod on Synodality Prayer
We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, Make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and
what is right.
All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son,
forever and ever.
Amen.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
