Matthew 10:31-33

Date posted: June 21, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 10:31-33
“So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Everyone who acknowledges me before
others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father. But whoever denies me before others, I will deny
before my heavenly Father.”

Reflection
What Jesus said to the Twelve (apostles) are also His words to us. Jesus promised that we will never be
alone in our efforts to do what is right. We should not fear men, but only the Lord who saved us sinners
because of His great love for us through Jesus Christ. He has given us the greatest treasure, that is His Son;
let us share Him with others, and don’t be afraid of men.

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Actions must always be life-affirming.” As stated by Pastor David Wilkerson, “If I am not
Christ-like at heart—if I’m not becoming noticeably more like Him—then I have totally missed God’s purpose
for my life. It doesn’t matter what I accomplish for His kingdom. If I miss this one purpose, I have lived,
preached and yes, striven in vain.” As Lasallians, everything that we do in our daily lives reflects what we
believe in. We are nurtured to be the living presence of God in the world and we are sent to nurture the lives
of those people we are serving.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
