Matthew 10:5-7

Date posted: July 8, 2020

Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 10:5-7
These Twelve Jesus sent out, charging them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the
Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And preach as you go, saying, `The
kingdom of heaven is at hand.’

Reflection
This speaks about the power of the gospel. This power is at the service of the Kingdom. We are assured,
especially at this time, that God is a caring God who looks after the welfare of the lost sheep of Israel. God
will save us. How did you experience God’s power in times of crisis?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that, “Lasallian learners are unique and gifted individuals who take progressive responsibility
for their own learning and development.” Jesus is very gifted and powerful. He always has special concern
for the poor. As Lasallians, let us use our giftedness, our gifts of time, talents and treasure, to share in the
mission of Jesus and St. La Salle.

Oratio Imperata Against the COVID-19
God our Father, we come to You in our need to ask Your protection
against the COVID-19 that has disturbed us and claimed many lives.
We pray that You guide the people tasked
to find cure for this disease and to stem its transmission.
Protect the medical experts and healthcare personnel
that they may minister to the sick with competence and compassion.
We pray for those afflicted, may they be restored to health soon.
Protect those who care for them.
Grant eternal rest to those who have died.
Give us grace in this trying time to work for the good of all and to help those in need.
We implore You to stop the spread of this virus and to save us from our fears.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son
who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God forever and ever. Amen.
Our Lady of the Star, pray for us!
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us!
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us!
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
