Matthew 10,7-13

June 11, 2022 (Saturday)
Let us all remember that we are in the Holy Presence of God.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Matthew 10,7-13
Jesus said to his Apostles: “As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Cure the sick, raise the
dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons. Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”Do not take gold or
silver or copper for your belts; no sack for the journey, or a second tunic, or sandals, or walking stick. The laborer deserves his keep. Whatever town or village you enter, look for a worthy person in it, and stay there until you leave. As you enter a house, wish it peace. If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you.”

Reflection
In the gospel, Jesus said that his Twelve Apostles should preach the word of God in every way that they can. Do things
without asking for something in return, the Lord will guide through other people so they don’t need any material things with them. As we help others, we need to always remember to help without any cost and ask nothing in return. Nowadays, people help others for the sake of fame or need something for their own benefit. But now, we are being challenge to do the same as what apostles did to bring peace to our homes, communities, and country. Am I ready to partake in God’s mission?

Lasallian Guiding Principle
LGP states that “Avenues and opportunities for self-propelled individual, collective and institutional life-affirming action to respond to varied social issues must be provided in every Lasallian institution.” Imagine what we would be capable of doing if we will all offer our day, our effort, to do God’s work. We can clearly imagine a better world, a more peaceful world where the weak will not be taken advantage of, the helpless not be oppressed, and the sick not be abandoned. In this world, our children will thrive, and our children can be the best that they want to be. Let us allow ourselves to be modern missionaries heralding God’s Peace to the world.

Synod on Synodality
We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, Make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and what is right. All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son, forever and ever.
Amen.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, pray for us.
St. Miguel Febres Cordero, pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
